Do not be misled by the title of this release. Rafael Marinelli (aka Lektrono) is definitely experienced in the art of making music, and this release is proof. Skittery breakbeat-ish styles combined with IDM sensibilities is one way to describe the first track, ‘Respira’. ‘La Vaca Verde’ and the title track ‘Novato’ follow it up with a more abstract, textured, and emotive sound. Unique and enjoyable.
